Ensure that you have the most recent patches and updates installed for your version of Word. In the Apple icon on your Mac, "check for software updates" and install all updates.

Information for MOJAVE users
There is an issue with the Word add-in and Mojave, resulting in problems with CiteWhileYouWrite. More details and a fix are available via this link.

It is advisable to use the Firefox browser to install EndNote on a Mac and when exporting references from databases into an EndNote library.

Click on the link below to sign the licence agreement and begin the download of the Catalina compatible installation file.

Once you have completed the download, you will have the .dmg file. Click on the .dmg file in order to begin the installation process.  Remember once you open an EndNote library in X9.3 it will NOT open in earlier versions of EndNote so if you use your libraries at work and at home, this will be a problem.

Set your preferences to enable 'Find Full Text'.

Further information for Mac users

If you use EndNote (version X8 backwards) on your mac computer and wish to upgrade your mac Operating System to macOS 10.15 (also known as Catalina) please do so in this order:

1.Backup your EndNote library / libraries https://www.crandon.com.au/endnote/faq/BackUp.html

2.Delete the current EndNote software on your Mac - Click here for instructions to remove previous versions of EndNote.

3.Download from library website EndNote X9.3 

4.Follow the macOs instruction on how to upgrade your macOS to macOS 10.15 (also known as Catalina)

However, if you have already upgraded to macOS 10.15 (also known as Catalina) before updating your EndNote program to EndNote X9.3 version, the EndNote app will be disabled in the Applications folder. To fix this, you would need to:

2.Delete the current EndNote software on your Mac- Click here for instructions to remove previous versions of EndNote.

3.Download from library website the EndNote X9.3.
