eBooks Usage

eBooks usage is reflected by downloads rather than loans and they are acquired in a variety of ways.  Some of major collections of ebooks have substantial usage as shown below.  Usage numbers are also affected by changes in the COUNTER standards used to derive statistics.  There was a switch from COUNTER 4 to COUNTER 5 in mid 2019.

eBooks in ClinicalKey from Elsevier come as part of a package that includes journals, guidelines and other materials.  Content may be read online but clients must login to download a chapter.
