BMJ Case Reports

The Library has an institutional subscription to the BMJ Case Reports that allows staff from FSH, RPH, Armadale, Rockingham, Bentley and Rockingham Hospitals to publish free of charge.

How to publish as an institutional fellow

  • Connect from the Library's link to the BMJ Case Reports
  • Then follow the instructions in the User Guide for EMHS and SMHS Staff.
  • Be sure to cite your institution as South Metropolitan Health Service (Fiona Stanley Hospital) OR South Metropolitan Health Services (Royal Perth Hospital) etc.
    • While this does not align with our HSP boundaries, we are a joint library service and our subscription is technically contracted with SMHS.
    • If you put EMHS your submission will be rejected as BMJ will not recognise the affiliation.
  • In order to submit your paper you will need the Institutional Fellowship membership number found in the User Guide.
  • The Fellowship only covers the publication fee but does not cover open access. (See BMJ's FAQ page for further details.)
