EndNote: Information and User Guide

Searching for references in your EndNote library

If you have many references in your EndNote library you can search within your library for a particular reference or for references on a particular topic.

Basic Search

  1. Click on All References
  2. Enter your search terms in the search bar above the references
  3. References that meet your search parameters will be presented
  4. To return to the full library click on All References

Advanced Search

  1. Click on Advanced Search
  2. Build your search by entering search terms and selecting specific fields in which to search
  3. Use the Plus sign to add more lines to your search
  4. Click Search
  5. References that meet your search parameters will be presented
  6. To return to the full library click on All References
