EndNote

Filters Connectors Styles

EndNote works with filters, connectors and styles

  • Filters enable you to correctly import records from databases into EndNote (Medline, PsycINFO, Web of Science, Embase etc),
  • Connectors allow you to search sources such as PubMed from within EndNote
  • Styles enable you to format referencing according to various styles (such as publisher specific styles, as well as Vancouver, Harvard, APA etc).

EndNote is installed with a standard set of filters, connectors and styles.  Additional files and updates are available from Downloads | EndNote

EndNote: Install additional Import Filters (clarivate.com)

EndNote: Install additional Output Styles (clarivate.com)

EndNote: Install additional Connection Files (clarivate.com)

It is possible to customise filters connectors and styles.  If you do this the customised files are not stored in the program files (so that they are not lost if EndNote is uninstalled).

Some useful connectors and filters that are not included in the default files are available for download below.

Note: You must already have EndNote installed to use these.
