Clarivate provide a comprehensive suite of online guides and training materials for EndNote (see links below).

Key things to remember when using EndNote:

  • EndNote is a database. Data entry must be done correctly. (Remember - rubbish in, rubbish out.)
  • If you decide to use EndNote, you should use EndNote for everything you write.
  • Use EndNote WHILE you write and compile your library as you go.
  • Don't wait until you've finished writing, then think to put every reference into EndNote.
  • Have one EndNote library and use the groups function to distinguish your projects and documents.
